A man was shot during a fight Tuesday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The 31-year-old man was fighting with someone he knew at 1:23 p.m. in the 400 block of West 61st Street when the person pulled out a gun and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the elbow and leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

The shooter was not in custody Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The victim is a documented gang member.
