A 27-year-old man was shot in the hand early Wednesday during a robbery in on the South Side.

The man told investigators he was outside at 12:51 a.m. in the 5700 block of South King Drive in Washington Park when someone walked up, pulled a handgun and announced a robbery, according to the police.

The man ran away and was shot in the hand, police said. He walked to the University of Chicago Medical Cener, where he was in good condition.
