Man shot in Back of the Yards

A man was shot early Tuesday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

About 2:35 a.m., the 29-year-old was a passenger in the back seat of a vehicle traveling south in the 5200 block of South Carpenter when shots rang out and he was struck in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
