Man shot in Belmont Cragin

A 20-year-old man was shot in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood Sunday evening on the Northwest Side.

About 6:30 p.m., he was walking in the 3100 block of North Linder when someone opened fire from a passing vehicle, hitting him in the right side of the torso, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
