A man was shot Wednesday evening in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 26-year-old was shot in the leg about 5 p.m. in the 600 block of West 80th, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was listed in good condition.

A police source said the wound might have been self-inflicted. The man is a documented gang member and is currently on parole for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, the source said.
