A man was shot late Thursday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 24-year-old man was driving in the 0-100 block of South Saint Louis Avenue about 11:20 p.m. when a male got out of a black SUV and shot him in the right arm, according to Chicago Police.

He drove himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
