A man was shot early Tuesday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old was standing at a bus stop about 12:15 a.m. in the 5800 block of South State when someone fired shots and he was struck in the ankle, according to Chicago Police.

He was treated and released from St. Bernard Hospital, police said.
