A man was shot early Sunday in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 27-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 4100 block of West North Avenue about 12:15 a.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the upper right arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
