Man shot in Humboldt Park

A man was shot Monday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 23-year-old victim was in the 3800 block of West Augusta about 10:45 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the shoulder and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

The man was found unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said.
The man suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
