A man was shot early Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 29-year-old was standing outside about 3:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Avers when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck, according to Chicago Police.

He later showed up at Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to the face and arms, police said. His condition was stabilized.
