A man was shot Monday afternoon in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.

The 20-year-old man was hanging out at the side of a home in the 5200 block of South Sangamon about 1:45 p.m. when a male walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the lower leg and taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
