A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The 34-year-old was standing outside at 1:29 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Prairie when a tan car approached and someone in the back seat fired shots, striking him in the upper right thigh, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.
