A man was shot early Sunday in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 21-year-old was involved in an argument with a group of people at 5:08 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Ridgeway when someone in the group pulled out a gun and fired shots, striking the man in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Community First Medical Center and will be transferred in good condition to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member and convicted felon.
