A man was shot Sunday morning in the South Shore neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 9:05 a.m. in the 6900 block of South Merrill, according to Chicago Police.

The 20-year-old man was shot in the neck and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition stabilized.

Police said the victim was not cooperating with investigators and the circumstances of the shooting were unknown.
