Man shot in Princeton Park

A man was shot Thursday evening in the Princeton Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 29-year-old was standing outside at 6:48 p.m. in the 9200 block of South Perry when a vehicle approached, someone got out and opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The shooter then jumped back in the vehicle, which sped away.

The man suffered gunshot wound to the back and chest and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
