A man was shot in the shoulder Wednesday afternoon in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 22-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder in the 3800 block of West Armitage at 1:36 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in good condition to Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

The circumstances of the shooting were unknown. A police source said the victim is a documented gang member.
