Man shot in South Austin

A man was shot Wednesday evening in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 22-year-old was shot in the leg at 6:53 p.m. in the 200 block of South Central, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. Additional details were not immediately available Wednesday evening.
