A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood.

The 23-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 3900 block of South Archer at 1:26 p.m. when he was shot in the leg, according to Chicago Police.

His friends drove him to Holy Cross Hospital, but he was later transferred to Mount Sinai, police said. Additional details weren’t immediately available.
