A man was shot late Tuesday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10:30 p.m., the 28-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 5100 block of South Prairie when someone in a dark-colored vehicle fired shots, striking him in the left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
