Man shot in Washington Park

A man was shot Sunday morning in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 28-year-old suffered two gunshot wounds to the torso at 6:36 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Michigan, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and was being transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. The man’s condition was stabilized.
