A man was shot early Monday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 44-year-old was sitting on a front porch in the 700 block of South Central Park about 2:40 a.m. when someone in a white car opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the right forearm and leg, and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
