Man shot on Near West Side

A man was wounded in a shooting late Tuesday on the Near West Side.

The 19-year-old was standing on the sidewalk at 11:55 p.m. in the 2300 block of West Roosevelt when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

He walked into Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left thigh, and his condition was stabilized, police said.
