A 50-year-old man was shot while driving in the Englewood neighborhood Sunday night on the South Side.

Just before 9 p.m., he was going north in the 5600 block of South Emerald when someone in a group on the west side of the street opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was struck in the chest and head. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
