A man was shot while driving early Sunday on the West Side.

At 4:02 a.m., the 39-year-old was driving in the 6200 block of West North Avenue when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the face, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
