A man tried to lure a 9-year-old girl into his car after she got off a CTA Green Line train last week in the West Side Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.

Around 7:55 a.m. Oct. 19, the girl north from the Cicero Green Line stop when the man pulled up in a white car, rolled down his window and demanded the girl get inside, police said.

She ran away and called for help, and the man took off west on Ferdinand Street, police said.

The driver was descibed as a black man between 30 and 40 years old with a goatee, bald head and black beard. He was wearing a black shirt and drove a newer, small 4-door small sedan.
