A 30-year-old man walked into the hospital after he was shot Sunday morning in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

He told investigators he was shot in the face about 5:30 a.m. in the 700 block of West 59th Street, according to Chicago Police.

He later walked into St. Bernard Hospital and was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member and is not cooperating with investigators.
