Police are looking for a man who grabbed an 11-year-old girl Wednesday evening at a park in southwest suburban Oak Lawn.

The man approached the girl about 6 p.m. at Memorial Park in the 5700 block of 12nd Street, according to a crime alert from Oak Lawn police.

He asked the girl for help finding a ball in an unoccupied area of the park, and while she was walking with him, he “put his arms around the young girl from behind and pressed his body against her,” police said.

The girl pulled away from the man and he left the area, police said.

He was described as a Hispanic man about 30 with facial acne and a dark mole on the left side of his face near his nose.

Anyone with information about the suspect should call Oak Lawn detectives at (708) 907-4051.
