Two people were shot in the South Chicago neighborhood early Saturday.

The man and woman were on a porch in the 8200 block of South Saginaw about 12:30 a.m. when someone in a passing gold-colored SUV shot them, police said.

The man, 32, was shot in the left leg and the woman, 28, was shot in the back, police said. Both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
