A man was wounded Thursday afternoon in an Englewood neighborhood drive-by shooting.

The 26-year-old was walking south in the 7200 block of South Emerald at 2:51 p.m. when someone riding by in a green van shot him in the right leg, according to Chicago Police. The van drove away south on Emerald.

The victim was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. He was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital.
