A man was shot late Thursday on the Near West Side.

The 18-year-old was sitting in a parked car at 11:26 p.m. in the 2600 block of West Adams when a sedan pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking him in the left hand, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
