A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in the West Town neighborhood.

About 3:15 a.m., the 24-year-old was standing outside in the 400 block of North Western when someone inside a black car traveling southbound opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right leg and took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said he is a documented gang member.
