A Loyola University Chicago student who was reported missing last week has been found safe.

Chan Williams, 20, had last been seen about 8 p.m. Friday entering the building at 500 S. LaSalle, according to Chicago Police and an email sent from Loyola campus police to students.

As of Tuesday, Williams has been located and is “doing well,” according to an email from campus police.

The 59-year-old was found about 7 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, police said.
Jonathan Vallejo, 38, of River Grove, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the Friday shooting and was pronounced dead at Lutheran General Hospital, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
