A 53-year-old Harvard man was critically injured when his motorcycle crashed Saturday evening in the far northwestern suburbs.

He was driving a Harley-Davidson eastbound in the 15000 block of McGuire Road in unincorporated Harvard when he lost control and the bike rolled over, sending him flying off the road, according to the McHenry County sheriff’s office.

The man was taken to Mercy Harvard Hospital and later flown by helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital in critical condition, sheriff’s police said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
