No injuries were reported Sunday in a north suburban Buffalo Grove house fire.

Crews responding to a fire in the 1400 block of Caren Court at 4:35 p.m. found smoke coming from the house, according to a statement from Buffalo Grove Fire Department.

Firefighters discovered “a substantial” fire in the first-floor of the home and extinguished it, the fire department said. No one was home at the time.

The cause is still under investigation.
