A body was pulled from Lake Michigan near Oak Street Beach Monday evening, fire officials said.

The male corpse was pulled from the water about two blocks north of Oak Street about 5:40 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

The person’s age was unknown.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not confirm the death Monday evening.

Chicago Police are conducting a death investigation.
