Sidewalks and pedestrian ramps are scheduled to close Wednesday in west suburban Willowbrook and Darien along the Kingery Highway (Route 83).

The closures are part of a larger project to reconstruct the sidewalks and ramps to make them compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act in Cook, DuPage and Kane counties, the Illinois Department of Transportation said. Temporary lane closures could also be necessary when work is in progress.

Closures will take place at sidewalk corners and ramps in Willowbrook from Wednesday to Friday along the highway at 67th Street, at Cramer Court and at 63rd Street, IDOT said. In Darien, the closures will happen at 91st Street, Midway Drive, 75th Street and Plainfield Road.

Pedestrians should follow sidewalk closure signs.
