A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday morning in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

The 20-year-old victim was in the 6200 block of South Vernon at 8:56 a.m. when a vehicle drove up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the shoulder and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
