A man was shot in the leg while riding in a car Monday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 24-year-old heard gunfire at 9:25 a.m. in the 4400 block of West Van Buren and realized he’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

He ran a block north to the 300 block of South Kostner and called for help, police said. Paramedics took him to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
