A 15-year-old boy was shot to death Tuesday night in South Chicago.

Fabian Lavinder was shot in the chest around 10:15 p.m. as he sat in the front seat of a vehicle in the 2900 block of East 89th Street.

Someone drove up and shot him, according to the Chicago Police Department and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, which said the South Side teenager was pronounced dead shortly after at Advocate Trinity Hospital.
