A 20-year-old man who was killed in a shooting that also left an 18-year-old man wounded last week in the South Shore neighborhood has been identified.

The shooting happened about 2:05 p.m. June 27 in the 7400 block of South South Shore Drive, police said.

Dujuan Williams, 20, was shot in the head, arm and abdomen and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:47 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 7400 block of South Coles.

The younger man, 18, was shot in the armpit and also taken to Northwestern, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Shermain Sargent, 41, is accused of beating Timothy Ash, 74, on Jan. 7 in the 6400 block of South King Drive. Ash died Jan. 12 of injuries suffered from the assault, the medical examiner reported.
