A man was shot to death Sunday night in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Damijwan Bonds, 18, suffered gunshot wounds to both legs about 9 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Damen, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Bonds showed up at Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:59 p.m., authorities said. He lived about three blocks away from the shooting.

The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately known as Area Central detectives conducted a homicide investigation.
