Two men shooting at each other were both killed early Wednesday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.
Miguel Williams, 34, was sitting in a vehicle in the 12300 block of South Halsted at 12:41 a.m. when he got into a shootout with a 28-year-old man standing in the street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Williams was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in the 700 block of East 111th Street and pronounced dead at the scene at 1:06 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 7700 block of South Greenwood Avenue.
The younger man, 28-year-old Donald Carter Bruson, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene at 12:58 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 1200 block of Diane Lane in Elk Grove Village.
Both of their deaths were ruled homicides.
