A man was shot to death Monday evening in the Fuller Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Devonta Dorsey, 23, was standing on the sidewalk about 7:40 p.m. in the 4400 block of South Shields when someone approached him, shot him in the head and drove off in a vehicle, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dorsey was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:58 p.m., authorities said. His home address was not known Tuesday morning.
