A man was shot to death Sunday evening in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

About 5:10 p.m., 24-year-old Christian Rodriguez was walking in the 4700 block of South Winchester when a green-colored vehicle pulled up, and someone got out and shot him in the abdomen and right leg, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Rodriguez was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:48 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
