Three people were killed and at least nine others were wounded in shootings Tuesday across Chicago.

Most recently, Two people were shot to death Tuesday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

Officers responding about 10:50 p.m. to a call of a person shot in the 6000 block of South Carpenter found a 34-year-old man lying in the street and another man unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a gray car, according to Chicago Police.

Both men had been shot in the head and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatalities.

Tuesday morning, a 17-year-old boy was shot to death in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 11:42 a.m. in the 10900 block of South Peoria found James R. Moore with multiple gunshot wounds in the backyard of a home, authorities said.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:06 p.m., authorities said. He lived in the 10800 block of South Sangamon.

The latest nonfatal shooting happened at 10:22 p.m. in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

A 23-year-old man was standing outside in the 1600 block of West Marquette when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the back, police said. He later showed up at St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where his condition was stabilized. A police source said the man is a documented gang member.

Less than 15 minutes earlier, a 30-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were both wounded in a separate Englewood neighborhood attack. They were in a red car traveling south in the 7200 block of South May about 10:10 p.m. when someone on the sidewalk started shooting, police said. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the back and a graze wound to the face and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The boy was shot in the neck and taken to Stroger Hospital. Both of their conditions were stabilized.

About 10:05 p.m. in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, a 27-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of West 64th Street when two other males walked up and opened fire, police said. The man was shot in the left hand and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Earlier Tuesday evening, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side. The boy was in the 1400 block of South Pulaski about 5:20 p.m. when he was shot in the foot and leg, according to police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition stabilized.

About 4 p.m., a 29-year-old woman was shot in the neck and wrist in West Englewood’s 6700 block of South Ashland, police said. She was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital.

About 2:15 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in the 0-100 block of South Pulaski in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

About 12 hours earlier, a woman was shot during a robbery attempt in another West Garfield Park attack. The 25-year-old was walking in the 300 block of South Kolmar about 2:50 a.m. when two males walked up and announced a robbery, police said. When she refused to hand over her purse, one of the males pulled out a gun and fired shots. The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.

Tuesday’s first shooting happened about 1:50 a.m. in West Englewood. A 46-year-old man was standing outside with two friends in the 6600 block of South Oakley when a male walked up and announced a robbery, police said. The man and his friends ran away and the robber opened fire. The man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
