An Indiana man who was visiting family on Chicago’s South Side went missing more than two weeks ago, police said.

Timothy Echols, 57, was last seen Sept. 1 leaving a relative’s house in the 1100 block of East 83rd Street, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Echols, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was staying with the relative, police said. He left to take a Metra train to downtown Chicago and has not been seen or heard from since.

He is described as a 6-foot, 225-pound black man with black hair and brown eyes. Police said Echols has medical issues and is in need of medication.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8274.
