A man was discovered shot to death early Monday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Police responded to a call of a person shot at 2:14 a.m. and found a man lying in a lot in the 3900 block of West Monroe, according to Chicago Police.

Michael Buckner, 33, was shot in the legs, neck and abdomen and pronounced dead at the scene at 2:34 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His address was not known Monday afternoon.

Area North detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
