A man who was shot to death Tuesday morning in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side has been identified as a south suburban resident.

Jamar Robinson, 23, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest at 6:58 a.m. in the 700 block of West 117th Place, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Robinson, of the 15500 block of Myrtle Avenue in Harvey, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:05 a.m., authorities said.

His death was ruled a homicide.
