Chicago Police are searching for a man who has stolen three cellphones at gunpoint in the South Shore neighborhood.

The suspect walks up to victims, pulls out a handgun and steals their cellphones, according to the community alert from Area South detectives.

The robberies happened at:

  • 8:02 p.m. March 30 in the 7800 block of South Cregier;
  • 6:15 a.m. April 5 in the 7800 block of South Constance; and
  • 7:20 a.m. April 5 in the 8200 block of South Chappel.

He is described as a black man 23-29, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, and 150-180 pounds, with dark complexion and afro.
