A 17-year-old boy was shot in the hip Monday night in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

It happened around 7:50 p.m. in the 5900 block of West Diversey, according to Chicago Police.

The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where his condition was stabilized, police said.

No one is in custody.
